ComponentsGame Board: Factory
The game board shows the map of the factory. In the factory, the workers can move around based on the number in the dice each round. The boss can modify the factory tiles at each turn.
The game includes three separate stacks of character cards. There are 10 alien cards , 5 local cards, and 5 boss cards. These cards are to be drawn at the beginning of the game. The personal information, age, and numbers in those cards are supposed to be private. Don’t show it to your fellow players. The numbers in the cards for both alien workers and local workers are supposed to be from 10 to 30. The numbers in the cards for the boss characters are supposed to be between 10 to 100.
Alien Cards (10 Cards)
Each alien card is connected with three pieces of monologues in the script.
For alien cards, you see the name, age, and three numbers indicating their skill sets: selfishness, creativity, repetitiveness.
There are 2 alien cards out of all 10 alien cards with extra skill sets: humidity, ambiguity.
Local Cards (5 Cards)
For local cards, you see the name, age, and three numbers indicating their skill sets: selfishness, creativity, repetitiveness.
There is 1 local card out of all 5 with extra skill sets: care, radical empathy.
Boss Cards (5 Cards)
For boss cards, you see three numbers as your goal score for each of the three major skills.
Script: Alien without Extraordinary Ability
Alien without Extraordinary Ability is a collection of monologues featuring stories of migrant workers. These monologues either indicate their backgrounds and levels of skill sets, or activate a new social change skill.
If the scene is supposed to activate a new social change skill, it will be indicated by the end of the script.
Action cards are drawn based on the instruction on the game board. The action cards need to be shuffled at the beginning of the game. Action cards drawn by each players are open for all players to see in the entire duration of the game.
Deskilling Cards (40 Cards)
Deskilling cards show the number of points to be deducted from the current points for the player’s skill set.
Deskilling cards have 2 skill sets maximum.
Deskilling cards do not apply to social change skills.
Re-skilling Cards (40 Cards)
Re-skilling cards show the number of points to be added from the current points for the players skill sets.
Re-skilling cards have 2 skill sets maximum.
Re-skilling cards do not apply to social change skills.
Accident or Bonus Cards (20 Cards)
Accident cards give a drastic decrease to one of your regular skills, and activate one chosen hidden social change skill, and increase the rest of your existing social change skills by 3.
Bonus cards give a drastic increase to one of your regular skills, and decrease one of your social change skills by 5.
Social Change Cards (20 Cards)
Some of the social change cards can activate one chosen hidden skill or add or remove one tile for factory modification.
Some of the social change cards can increase 2 of your existing social change skills, if they are activated.
Tiles for Factory Modification
Tiles for Factory Modification change the types of the tiles (and actions that need to be executed in each tile).
Tiles can be used to lay over the an existing tile in game board to replace it, or to be used to expand the game board.
